"RECOMMEND! After a huge slab leak, hiring Lux Hardwoods was our best decision for reconstruction and renovation. Stan and his team are experienced, professional, and courteous. Every room of the first floor required reconstruction and we chose to do some remodeling at the same time, and Stan's design experience and eye differentiated a job that would have been only repair to a newly remodeled and updated home to a style that fits our vision and personality. We love it! Each member of his team specializes in areas such as carpentry, flooring, paint and electric, and all communicated well with us and respected our home and our schedules. They did hardwood, including stairs, paint, reconstruction, and wiring. He was often on site consulting with us and his team, and he was always available by phone and text. Stan eased our home-owner reconstruction anxieties and delivered on his word! We will definitely call them for future projects." House Painting Aurora Colorado
I had Philips paint the exterior of my home a while back. I was so happy with the work they did I had them come back to give me a quote for painting my decorative metal fence. I accepted their bid and they did a fantastic job. The prepped the surface, primed and then hand applied an alkyd enamel rust resistant high gloss paint. The fence looks fantastic (I'm sure my neighbors are happy too). I highly recommend Philips Painting.
I hired a painting company to paint my house and garage. Price was about $5,000.Sherwin Williams paint T-1000. When he was questioned about the paint peeling two days after he painted the garage he quit even with a contract not a very professional person. So,now I have to find someone else to paint my house. After 3 weeks of them trying to paint around the rain. The original time frame was 3-4 days.Yes 3 weeks and all that got done was a small two car garage that could have been done in two days.I know he did not prep correctly and properly I will end up having to redo the garage. I went to Sherwin Williams and got the colors. So beware even with a contract and good references. Aurora Home Painting

I can't say enough great things about Saints of Paint. They went above and beyond my expectations in every possible way. They painted the entire interior of my house and the work that they did was perfect, thorough, and very reasonably priced. Not one detail was missed. On top of that, each member of the team is very friendly, honest, and considerate. House Painting Aurora Colorado
Whether you decide to do the preparation work yourself or have a professional do it as part of your project, proper preparation makes all the difference in creating a smooth and lasting finish. Do it correctly the first time or you’ll quickly end up spending more to fix peeling and chipping paint. Follow this process before starting on your home's exterior. Keep in mind that the process may vary based on your siding materials:
Most siding material needs at least some sort of scraping, sanding or stripping before repainting. Chipped or bubbled paint not firmly adhered to a surface creates a weak area that leaves fresh paint more vulnerable to damage. Scraping removes large loose pieces. Sanding then smooths the edges of whatever paint remains. Keep in mind the process varies based on the type of siding. Aurora House Painting
Thus if you want to paint 2 rooms of approximately 150 sq. ft. each (300 sq.ft. total), you will be paying about $4 per sq. ft. However if you are painting the entire house, your base price is about $2.25 per sq.ft. for a 1 storey home with a total of 1700 sq.ft. of living area to be painted (including closets / staircases). A 2+ storey home of same size will cost about $2.45 per sq.ft. Aurora House Painting
Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. Aurora House Painting
The cost of paint is easy to calculate, and additional expenses rarely add much to the total cost of a project. The price of labor, however, rises steeply based on the complexity of the work. A simple one-story ranch in good repair is a breeze to paint, multi-story homes in poor condition or with extensive architectural features are much more challenging. See below the differences between the cost to paint a 2-story home vs a ranch style: Aurora House Painting
Recent Review: Work was performed in a timely manner and finished earlier than expected. Need to pay a little more attention to the details ie:  paint chipped and baseboards not completely painted. Nails in sheet rock could have been knocked in prior to painting for a cleaner finish. Owners very easy to work with and desire to make the customer happy. I would recommend JNT Developers, just ask that they keep a close eye on the workmanship of the hired help. Aurora Home Painting

David Turk was very helpful and gave great suggestions. He had great patience with my vacation schedule, weather interruptions and roofing schedule. Phillips Painting provided an excellent painting crew lead by Rodrigo. Day one Rodrigo and his crew power washed, replaced rotted wood, scraped peeling paint and sealed all seams. Day two they covered all exposed areas and painted. The front door, the back kitchen door, the new sliding glass door and the garage door were also included. The project was cleaned up and completed by 12:30 on day 2. I am very happy with the look. To quote David, "that's why you hire professionals." Thank you Phillips Painting, David and Rodrigo. I highly recommend Phillips Painting. I will use them in the future for interior work. Home Painters Aurora CO
Staining a deck costs $540 to $1,000. Covered porches might hit $2,000. Consider negotiating the price a bit lower by combining it with a full exterior job. Painting handrails can run anywhere from $1 to $2 per linear foot, depending on whether it’s wood, metal or some other material. Although you might think this is an easy $30 to $100 job, most painters charge a minimum fee regardless of the size of the project. You’ll probably end up paying at least $150. Aurora Home Painting
- Go for neutral colors. Every person has their own color preferences, so there is no point in trying to impress with the trendiest hues of the current year. Instead, go for time tested, classic and neutral colors, such as beige, taupe, cream, shades of grey, off white. If you want to add more color on an accent wall, shades of blue, green, or warm earth tones always have a nice general appeal. Aurora House Painting
Repainting a room or even the entire home is one of the most popular DIY remodeling projects. This is because many budget conscious homeowners would rather spend time and effort to paint their house then spend $2,000+ on a professional paint job. The truth is you can easily save 50-60% off the cost of professional painting if you go the DIY route. Home Painters Aurora CO

Prep work should include removing all loose paint, either with a pressure washer or by scraping; removing any trace of mildew using bleach and water or a commercial solution, and sealing or covering dark stains; caulking all seams, corners and around windows or trim; applying epoxy filler to repair serious woodwork problems; covering dark stains; sanding all rough surfaces, and priming the bare wood with a bonding primer. The truth is that there are a lot of things that can go wrong with a sloppy painting job and the crappy results will be instantly visible. Prepping the ceiling and walls as well as carefully repairing any damages is 50% of a successful job. However, cheap painters typically rush through this part of the project. Consequently, you see small holes in the walls, paint stains, bubbling paint and other ugly errors. Aurora Home Painting
Prepping a house costs anywhere from $0.50 to $2.50 per square foot. This is almost always included in the total project price. However, the DIYer might negotiate some discounts for completing this work on their own. Be warned, proper prep is key to the quality and durability of the finish. If you do this work yourself, the contractor might no guarantee to finished product. Aurora House Painting
Budget for $600 to $2,000 for 250 square feet up to around 1,000 square feet. Expect to pay approximately the same costs as repainting vinyl siding. Angie's List suggests two coats to achieve at least 10 years of fresh color. Hardie siding — fiber cement siding — has a baked-on paint finish, but the manufacturer suggests repainting after routine cleaning no longer restores the original color to your satisfaction. You can expect to pay between $700 to $3,000 to paint wood siding. You’ll end up spending $1 to $3 per square foot, but typically you’ll find this material is cheaper than brick or vinyl. Wood requires some type of sealant, be it paint, stain or oil. Lumber takes well to a wide variety of coverings giving you endless options for modern, contemporary or classic looks. Some things to consider when choosing wood: Aurora House Painting
Can you paint your house yourself? DIY painting can save you thirty-percent over the cost of a contractor, but it’s a painstaking and time-consuming process. For every hour of labor saved, you’ll spend more money to buy paint without a discount, and you’ll have to rent equipment and purchase supplies that you may never use again. Hiring an expert is the best way to ensure the job is done right and with the least amount of disruption to your daily routine. Home Painters Aurora CO

Recent Review: Very happy with the end product.  We worked with Josh and he was excellent in explaining and answering questions throughout the project.  He, the deck, paint & roof crew were very professional & courteous.   Work spanned over a period of 5 days.  Only complaint is the punctuality of when crew showed up vs when they said they will.  Not a big deal but would have been great if they were punctual.   Overall extremely satisfied with the finished project. Choose the best quality paint you can afford; it lasts longer. Experts estimate that the outside of a house should be painted every 5-7 years, but less-expensive paint may start peeling or fading in 4 years or less while really high-quality paint will hold up a bit longer.
