Choose the best quality paint you can afford; it lasts longer. Experts estimate that the outside of a house should be painted every 5-7 years, but less-expensive paint may start peeling or fading in 4 years or less while really high-quality paint will hold up a bit longer. Better Homes & Gardens[1] describes and compares the different types of exterior paint while FastFacts.com[2] reviews specific brands. Aurora House Painting
I hired Nielson 6-7 years ago to paint my chimney he painted it and replace a couple of rotten boards. Other painters were going to paint right over the bad wood. This past year I had him paint the entire exterior of my house. The work was done on time and to my satisfaction. When I am able, I will ask him to paint the interior of my house as well as some remodeling work. I highly recommend Nielson Painting and Remodeling. Home Painters Aurora CO
I highly recommend the team at Platinum Painting. Rod Bohl managed the sales process from estimate to completion with a high level of customer service. Ivan and the paint team worked very quickly and completed the entire project with two coats of paint in two days which was amazing. Ivan was very responsive to my requests, ensured that the workmanship was of the highest quality and that I was completely satisfied. Overall a great experience and I will use Platinum again! Phillips Painting showed up a little late, but still at a reasonable time and went to work, finishing the job in one day as quoted. The repair team had equipment available to cut the James Hardie siding to size. The repair work fits in well with the existing siding. I will include Phillips painting in our group of potential contractors when we are ready to have the whole house painted. Especially since I know they can handle any necessary repairs prior to the painting job.
Exterior paint averages $25-$40 a gallon, and a 3,000-square-foot home takes 15 or more gallons of paint, or $375-$600 just for the paint. However, really premium paint can cost $50-$100 a gallon, or $750-$1,500 for that large home. Doing it yourself also requires renting a pressure washer or sprayer for $50-$100 a day; extra-long ladders or scaffolding at $20-$75 daily; and a power sprayer for $50-$100 daily, plus masking tape, drop cloths and other supplies. However, it's possible to paint a large, two-story house for materials-only costs of $400-$600. Aurora Home Painting
"RECOMMEND! After a huge slab leak, hiring Lux Hardwoods was our best decision for reconstruction and renovation. Stan and his team are experienced, professional, and courteous. Every room of the first floor required reconstruction and we chose to do some remodeling at the same time, and Stan's design experience and eye differentiated a job that would have been only repair to a newly remodeled and updated home to a style that fits our vision and personality. We love it! Each member of his team specializes in areas such as carpentry, flooring, paint and electric, and all communicated well with us and respected our home and our schedules. They did hardwood, including stairs, paint, reconstruction, and wiring. He was often on site consulting with us and his team, and he was always available by phone and text. Stan eased our home-owner reconstruction anxieties and delivered on his word! We will definitely call them for future projects." Aurora Home Painting
